Blue Vase with Lavender

I collect cups, saucers and vases as memories of places I have visited. This painting came about on a summers day, when the smell of rosemary and lavender outside my studio was fantastic.. The vase was made by a potter called Robert who sells his beautiful ceramics in White Doll Arts, Fowey.

I later developed this painting further to create herbs with blue pots, on the same theme.
