Made from the unopened buds of the tea plant, white tea derives its name from the silvery-white hairs that adorn each bud, and give the dried leaves their white appearance. Once the buds have been picked by hand, they are gently steamed or dried in the sun. Then, they are carefully handcrafted into a white tea of exquisite character.
White tea is very mild, and has barely any colour when brewed. But its delicate, fruity flavours and subtle aroma will linger on your tongue: a sensation to be savoured.
